Suppliers' Day Baden-Württemberg

30. November 2022

The supply chains and value-adding structures in the German automotive industry are currently undergoing massive changes. Both disruptions caused by the Covid-19 pandemic or the war in Ukraine and long-term developments such as the change in mobility brought about by electrification, digitalisation and connectivity have a significant impact on Baden-Württemberg's automotive suppliers.

The Automotive Suppliers' Day Baden-Württemberg 2022, which has been organised in collaboration with relevant companies, associations and partners, provides insights into the challenges and opportunities automotive suppliers in Baden-Württemberg are currently facing. This year's focus will be on supply chains and the hydrogen economy. Fuel cells and in particular stack production, electrolysers and hydrogen combustion open up new business opportunities to suppliers. In addition, there is a high degree of interdependence on critical materials and components at the international level. This causes new strategic dependencies and risks in the global supply chains of the automotive industry and calls for a paradigm shift. We need to tap into the existing skills of our specialists and further develop them in order to fully seize the opportunities of this change.

But not only Baden-Württemberg is confronted with transformation. International lighthouse projects from Sweden and Finland show the level of innovation at which northern Europe is tackling the challenges of transformation and how valuable international exchange is.

You can seize this opportunity to network with inspiring companies and gain valuable insights for your work from this informative conference. We look forward to welcoming you in Esslingen, whether in person or online.
