Automotive
Suppliers' Day Baden-Württemberg

30. November 2022

Welcome

The Automotive Suppliers' Day Baden-Württemberg 2022, which has been organised in collaboration with relevant companies, associations and partners, provided insights into the challenges and opportunities automotive suppliers in Baden-Württemberg are currently facing. The focus was on supply chains and the hydrogen economy. Fuel cells and in particular stack production, electrolysers and hydrogen combustion open up new business opportunities to suppliers.

In addition, there is a high degree of interdependence on critical materials and components at the international level. This causes new strategic dependencies and risks in the global supply chains of the automotive industry and calls for a paradigm shift. We need to tap into the existing skills of our specialists and further develop them in order to fully seize the opportunities of this change.

But not only Baden-Württemberg is confronted with transformation. International lighthouse projects from Sweden and Finland showed the level of innovation at which northern Europe is tackling the challenges of transformation and how valuable international exchange is.
